The College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach day and evening classes in Economics including but not limited to Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, and Personal Finance.

Preferred candidates are enthusiastic about content and pedagogy, use best teaching practices, and are committed to student learning. Preference will be given to applicants who present evidence of excellence in teaching.

Compensation:

Adjunct Level 1 - $1,085 per credit hour.

Campus Locations:

Catonsville, Dundalk, Essex & Owings Mills

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in Economics or Master’s degree in Business Administration with 15 graduate semester hours in economics. Prior teaching experience preferred.

Essential Duties:

Prepare and deliver course instruction, follow common course outlines and policies, utilize the CCBC learning management system, grade, critique, and evaluate student work, provide timely feedback, keep and submit accurate classroom records, communicate with the discipline coordinator, attend required training sessions, and participate in professional development and departmental meetings.

Mentor students and contribute to the success of the economics program.

Support the community college philosophy through commitment to student success across diverse goals, backgrounds, and learning styles.

Maintain currency in field(s) through professional development and scholarly activities.

Perform related duties as required.
