The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. A bit about us: Our company, a leading player in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Permanent Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a minimum of five years of experience, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
Responsibilities
Oversee the preparation and maintenance of the company's general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Manage and reconcile inventories, including tracking, valuation, and reporting. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Assist in the development of the annual budget and financial forecasts. Review and improve accounting processes and procedures for efficiency and effectiveness. Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes. Assist with tax preparation and filings. Provide financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making processes. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards. Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes, improve financial reporting, and drive financial success. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a plus. Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry. Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and experience with accounting software. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles and procedures. Experience with inventory management and cost accounting. Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial colleagues. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
