Overview We are seeking a hands-on Senior General Ledger Accountant to join our growing finance team. This financial professional will be responsible for maintaining and reconciling the company's general ledger. This includes creating and posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements. The person will help ensure that the company's financial records are accurate, complete, and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The person will assist with budgeting and forecasting, provide support to other departments as needed, and collaborate with auditors to ensure accurate and accessible financial data. This person must be detail oriented and have a strong ability to stay organized and maintain flexibility. This is a hands-on role with broad exposure across accounting, reporting, and financial analysis. While core responsibilities are GL-focused, this is your chance to partner directly with leadership in a growing MedTech company.
Responsibilities
Core Accounting: Journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting, cash management, and inventory valuation using an ERP system; requires accuracy and efficiency in data entry.
Technical Accounting: Stock-based compensation, intercompany eliminations, consolidations, IFRS exposure.
Business Support: Budgeting/forecasting, variance analysis, internal controls.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with vendors, colleagues, and management.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in accounts.
Time Management: Efficiently managing time, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting; preferably a CPA.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience.
International accounting experience.
Manufacturing - cost accounting using ERP software.
Working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
Excel and other Microsoft Office software knowledge.
Strong hands-on accounting skills and a self-starter attitude to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
Salary & Benefits Salary Range:
$85,000 + DOE plus annual discretionary bonus. Current benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k retirement plan, stock options, company paid holidays, and 120 hours per year paid time off (inclusive of sick leave).
