Annual Salary: $162,697.68 - $216,486.48 (Placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and experience.) The City of Ontario is seeking a Deputy Finance Director who will play a vital leadership role in advancing the City's financial operations and ensuring long-term fiscal stability.
With an operating budget of $1.65 billion and a $2.88 billion, five-year capital improvement program, the City requires a Deputy Finance Director who can balance technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills. As a member of the Agency's management team, the Deputy Director will oversee key operational functions, including accounting, accounts payable, grant management, and payroll as well as other Finance divisions, under the administrative direction of the Assistant Finance Director and Executive Director of Finance.
The ideal candidate will be approachable, flexible, and solutions-oriented; someone who can pivot to meet emerging challenges while keeping the City's long-term financial goals in mind.
