Summary
Performs a variety of accounting duties according to existing procedures, methods, and systems. Reconciles assigned accounts and prepares bank financial related reports. Responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of deliverables and the adherence to GAAP and internal policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as necessary. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Performs timely and accurate reconciliations for assigned accounts, including general ledger accounts. Follows up with user departments on outstanding items, as needed. Maintains prepaid expenses and accruals. Prepares amortization entries and balances prepaid accounts against G/L. Reconciles official checks, ATM and Teller cash for the retail branches on a daily basis; makes adjustments as needed. Prepare financial and regulatory reports. Extracts information from core system; inputs compiled data; and verifies accuracy of report. Works closely with management in the preparation of audits conducted by state and federal bank regulatory examiners and internal auditors. Provides back-up coverage for other functions within the accounting/finance department. Assists management with special projects. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; five years of previous accounting experience in a financial institution; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Basic knowledge of GAAP and background in financial institution accounting, auditing and financial reporting. Jack Henry platforms experience a plus. Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a deadline intensive work environment. Proficient in MS Word and Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
