We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Fund Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Fund Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial reporting for investment funds, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial statements. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, expertise in fund administration, and the ability to manage complex financial data. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fund accounting, excellent analytical abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and client service. Key Responsibilities

Fund Accounting and Reporting : Prepare and review Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations for assigned funds, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Reconcile cash, investments, and other financial instruments with custodian and broker statements. Calculate and verify management fees, performance fees, and expense allocations in accordance with fund agreements. Compliance and Audit Support : Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, or other relevant accounting standards, as well as fund-specific regulations (e.g., SEC, IRS, or international requirements). Coordinate and support external audits, preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries. Monitor regulatory changes and implement updates to processes to maintain compliance. Analyze and record investment transactions, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and alternative investments. Monitor portfolio performance and provide insights to fund managers and stakeholders. Manage capital calls, distributions, and investor allocations accurately. Process Improvement : Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency through automation or system improvements. Maintain and update internal controls to ensure data integrity and security. Client and Stakeholder Communication : Liaise with fund administrators, custodians, and investors to resolve discrepancies and provide financial insights. Prepare investor reports and respond to ad-hoc queries from clients or management. Mentor and train junior accountants, providing guidance on complex accounting issues. Review work of junior staff to ensure accuracy and consistency. Qualifications

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification preferred. Experience : Minimum of 4-6 years of fund accounting experience, preferably in hedge funds, private equity, real estate, or mutual funds. Proven experience with NAV calculations, financial reporting, and investment reconciliations. Technical Skills : Proficiency in fund accounting software (e.g., Advent Geneva, Investran, or similar). Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros); familiarity with VBA or SQL is a plus. Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and fund-specific regulations. Soft Skills : Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities to meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, auditors, and internal teams. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with alternative investments (e.g., private equity, venture capital, or real estate). Familiarity with tax reporting requirements for funds (e.g., K-1s, PFIC statements). Knowledge of portfolio management systems and Bloomberg Terminal. Seniority level
