We’re representing a well-established and growing construction management company that’s looking for a Project Accountant to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for an accounting professional with construction industry experience who enjoys working closely with both finance leadership and project teams.

Direct exposure to senior leadership (reporting to the VP of Finance). Opportunity to partner with Project Managers, Estimators, and Subcontractors on high-profile projects. Broad responsibilities that go beyond accounting — including project financial analysis and process improvements. Responsibilities:
Set up and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate cost coding. Review subcontractor requisitions (G702/703), change orders, and sales tax for accuracy. Prepare monthly owner billings and track payments with Project Managers. Handle subcontractor invoicing, lien waivers, and compliance documentation. Forecast general conditions and trades for assigned projects. Support the VP of Finance and provide backup for other accounting/contract administration functions. Analyze project cost reports, ensuring alignment between owner billing and subcontractor costs. Collaborate with project teams to bill approved change orders. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required). 3–5 years of accounting experience, including General Ledger. Prior construction accounting experience required. Strong Excel skills; CMiC software knowledge a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative. Seniority level:
