Sr. Analyst of Revenue Accounting Position Description:
Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Sr. Analyst of Revenue Accounting opportunity with our client located in Santa Clara, CA. Job Responsibilities:
Ensure revenue recognition in company financials is in accordance with US GAAP/ASC 606. Partner with the Deal Desk team to provide revenue recognition guidance during contract negotiations. Review and assist with contract revenue write-up process and partner with external auditors to ensure revenue accuracy. Perform monthly/quarterly revenue accounting close efforts, including preparation/review of close files, reconciliation procedures, controls, and submission of workpapers. Prepare quarterly reporting slides for CAO/CFO presentations. Monitor revenue transactions daily and review non-standard requests such as payment terms and return rights. Contribute to ad-hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed. Utilize extensive Excel skills for accounting tasks. Identify risks and opportunities through strong business acumen. Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. 3 to 6 years of relevant revenue accounting experience. At least 2 years of public company revenue recognition experience preferred. Knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively. Excellent communication skills. Experience with NetSuite, SFDC, SQL, SAP, and Tableau is a plus. Job Details:
