Overview
This is a full-time role for a Sr Accountant with a strong background in Manufacturing. The Sr Accountant in Craftech ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial schedules. Develop insights into financial performance. Month-End Close: Lead the month-end closing processes, including reconciliation of accounts, accruals, and analysis of financial statements. Cost Accounting: Develop an understanding of cost accounting activities including tracking and analyzing production costs, variances, and inventory valuation. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with CFO to develop annual budgets and forecasts. Fixed Assets Management: Maintain and monitor fixed asset records, ensuring accurate depreciation calculations and timely capitalization of assets. Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Internal Controls: Maintain strong internal controls over financial processes, ensuring the integrity of financial information. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for cost-saving initiatives, process improvements, and business decisions. Audit Support: Coordinate and provide support during external audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit inquiries. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting and finance functions. Conduct special projects as assigned. Required Skills and Competencies
Bachelor"s Degree: A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from an American University. Experience: 3 to 7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry. Experience with ERP Systems: Proficiency in using ERP systems, IQMS/Delmiaworks & Spreadsheet Server experience is a plus. Cost Accounting Skills: Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices, with experience in manufacturing cost analysis. Attention to Detail: Thoroughness and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis, with a focus on accuracy. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills to interpret financial data and identify trends. Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams, management, and external auditors. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify financial challenges and propose effective solutions. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with special focus on Excel. Preferred Skills and Competencies
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with injection molding processes & materials is a plus. ERP: IQMS & Spreadsheet Server experience is a plus. Compensation: $80-$100k/annual + bonus potential based upon company performance Seniority level
