Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Accounting Team. The ideal candidate should possess experience in financial accounting with an emphasis in analysis and reporting. The Staff Accountant’s primary responsibilities include, preparation of journals entries, performing various account reconciliations, analysis of daily cash activities, and assisting management with monthly close processes. Compensation
Base pay range: $70,000.00/yr - $76,000.00/yr Base pay: $70k-$76k + 8% Bonus Responsibilities
Perform daily reconciliation of cash, credit card, third party deposits, change orders and research variances with operations. Prepare weekly financial reports for stores summarizing revenue, labor, and food cost. Record weekly inventory adjustments for store locations and distribute inventory reports to stores. Post various journal entries in the general ledger on a monthly basis. Review and produce the monthly accruals and financial statements for stores. Ability to analyze P&Ls and discuss inquiries with operations. Reconcile various balance sheet accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis. Compile monthly/quarterly financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Statement of Cash Flows). Report and reconcile franchise royalties and advertising. Other duties as assigned. Skills & Qualifications
1-2 years of accounting experience. Prior financial review and reporting, a plus. BS degree with an accounting major or emphasis. Must be able to work independently. Ability to work within a team toward a common goal. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Advanced Excel skills required, including the ability to create and manipulate pivot tables. Ability to effectively use general ledger software. Preferred, but not required
Experience with SAGE 300 Retail or QSR accounting experience Job Function
