Overview
ProSidian Seeks a Nuclear Safety Consulting Specialist [DOE0100099] for Program Support on an Exempt W2: No Overtime Pay Basis contract, contingent, generally located across the CONUS – Richland, Washington, across the Pacific Northwest region, supporting DOE EM Hanford. This is a Federal, regulated, high-stakes nuclear cleanup environment requiring multidisciplinary contractor support, compliance oversight, and mission assurance. We seek Nuclear Safety Consulting Specialist candidates with relevant Environmental Management Sector experience to support professional services engagements for Environmental Management Sector Clients such as DOE. This is a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) oversight and general support services under Job Task Category 05 Assistant Manager for Safety, Environment, & Quality (AMSE/AMSQ) Functional Area / Swim Lane / Category Disciplines. Support 10 CFR 830/DOE O 414.1D; perform audits; maintain DSAs; USQs. This role provides services and support for Program Office #05 AMSE/AMSQ under Task #05.11 – Nuclear Safety Consulting Specialist with Support Functions for Electrical, Facility Representative, Industrial Hygiene/Occupational Safety, Training, Environmental/Regulatory, Safety and Security Enforcement, Nuclear Safety, Engineering (Radiological Protection, Structural, Quality Assurance, Fire Protection), and Technical & Regulatory Support Services across the Hanford Field Office (HFO). Provide mission-critical nuclear safety consulting services to ensure compliance with safety and quality assurance standards; oversee safety evaluations, analyze safety data, and review documents to meet DOE criteria; support readiness assessments and safety program implementations; collaborate with contractors to produce vital safety documents; ensure all deliverables adhere to DOE procedures and QA plans. Lead DOE USQ evaluations for configuration control. Functional attributes of this role include Nuclear Safety SME; travel as coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the CO; place of performance at Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site in Richland, WA. Support responsibilities may vary by up to +/-15% of indicated staffing levels and may require on-site performance with some remote support as approved by the CO. Qualifications
8–12+ years nuclear safety/QA; DOE nuclear facility experience required. BS Engineering/Science; advanced certifications helpful. This position aligns with functional and technical requirements in the Environmental Management Sector; candidates principally support Oversight and General Support Services under AMSE/AMSQ. Skills: program and project management support; safety basis, QA audits, causal analysis. Competencies: Independence, judgment, technical clarity. Other Details
