Overview

Asset Manager role at Troutman Pepper Locke LLP. The Asset Manager is responsible for the lifecycle management and governance of the Firm’s technology assets, ensuring assets are inventoried, maintained, and disposed of according to established policies and procedures. The Asset Manager collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., IT, Finance & Accounting, Information Security) to establish, enforce, monitor, and continuously improve asset management processes, standards, and controls to ensure the efficient and effective use of assets. Responsibilities

Partner with cross-functional stakeholders for procurement of new assets and disposition of legacy assets to preserve an accurate and dynamic enterprise asset inventory. Collaborate on in-depth reporting on development plans and schedules at the asset level, including support of project budgets and key budget variances. Define and monitor asset management service levels and key performance indicators in partnership with functional leadership and solution/service owners. Oversee the Firm’s IT asset management (ITAM) program in partnership with the ServiceNow Platform Owner, including procedures, processes, and controls for inventory management, software licensing, maintenance, and disposal. Support guidelines for the use of all firm assets in partnership with Information Security. Maintain the Firm’s database/system of record for assets (e.g., software, hardware) and configuration management (CMDB), ensuring records are accurate and up-to-date. Collaborate with stakeholders on design and execution of standards and operational processes for configuration management. Assist in ongoing buildout of configuration information to support IT Service Management and Information Security processes (e.g., incident, problem, technical change, release management, risk management). Identify opportunities for simplification, cost savings, risk reduction, and efficiency across the Firm’s technology. Evaluate industry solutions to drive continuous improvement and automation for asset management activities. Work with cross-functional stakeholders to identify and apply design enhancements to ITAM technology to drive process effectiveness and uphold standards. Partner with Information Security leads on recurring asset management certification processes in coordination with system owners. Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are understood and measured for delivery. Inform the strategic design of other Service Management technology systems, solutions, and modules that enable and support asset management. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices relative to asset management and share knowledge across technical and non-technical teams. Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities

Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems, or a related technical field. Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, ideally in a large law firm or professional services setting. Experience with leading systems and tools for IT asset management, discovery, and automation/workflow capabilities (e.g., ServiceNow). Experience in leading and influencing staff to adopt ITAM standards, processes, and controls. Experience with business process re-engineering to achieve performance improvements. Demonstrated experience designing an enterprise ITAM framework, preferably in professional services or a legal firm. Experience designing, supporting, and continuously improving IT asset repositories. Relevant technical certifications preferred (e.g., ITIL v4, CITAM). Compliance & Equal Opportunity

Hiring Salary Range: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00
