The Director of National Accounts is a key contributor in positioning Las Vegas as the premier destination for meetings and events. This role is responsible for generating high-value leads, building strategic relationships, and driving demand through proactive account development and client engagement. The Director serves as a trusted advisor to meeting professionals and a collaborative partner to Las Vegas resort and venue stakeholders, connecting business opportunities to destination value. What You’ll Accomplish:

Keep in mind that this list is not all inclusive. Drive High-Impact Lead Generation: Proactively solicit and distribute qualified sales leads (251-1,999 peak room nights) to Las Vegas and Clark County resort partners, working toward aggressive room night and lead conversion goals. Strategically grow market share by identifying new business opportunities, expanding account reach, and accelerating group business conversion to the destination. Build and maintain in-depth knowledge of client organizations, key decision-makers, and influencer networks through continuous prospecting and strategic account development. Build and Sustain Strategic Relationships

Serve as a destination expert and trusted consultant to meeting professionals, third-party intermediaries, and mission partners, providing customized solutions that align with event goals and partner capabilities. Drive increased conversion and long-term loyalty by delivering solutions that build strong, lasting relationships with clients and partners. Represent Las Vegas at industry events, including trade shows, conferences, and sales missions, to maximize visibility and uncover new opportunities. Design and execute tailored client engagement strategies, including targeted events, site experiences, and activations, to build preference and strengthen the sales pipeline. Lead Brand Advocacy and Market Presence

Develop and maintain a strong presence for Las Vegas within assigned market segments and territories, ensuring consistent visibility and engagement. Serve as a destination Ambassador, promoting Las Vegas’s value proposition across client channels, industry forums, and within competitive landscapes. Travel frequently for domestic and international sales calls, tradeshows, and hosted events, focusing on lead generation and key account growth. Administrative Duties

Maintain accurate and timely client records in CRM systems and other tracking platforms to ensure up-to-date information. Analyze lost business, account trends, and lead performance to refine strategies and optimize future outcomes. Manage budgets, reporting, and internal planning to contribute to the overall success of the department. What We’re Looking For:

High School Diploma required, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field preferred. 7+ years of experience in destination sales, hotel group sales, or a similar role with national account responsibility. Strong sales acumen, with in-depth knowledge of the sales process, including prospecting, cold calling, managing customer relationships, market development, and closing deals. Proven track record of developing regional markets, driving results through increased qualified lead volume within an assigned territory. Demonstrated success in creating and executing strategic business development plans, delivering measurable outcomes. Exceptional time management skills, with the capability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision. Experience with Customer Relations Management (CRM) systems preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications. Project management experience, with a proven track record of overseeing multiple initiatives concurrently. Strong writing skills, with experience drafting reports, budgets, business correspondence, sales collateral, and procedural manuals as needed. Excellent communication skills, demonstrated through effective listening, public speaking, and clear presentation of information to clients, mission partners, vendors, management, and other stakeholders across diverse formats. Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours when required.
