The Ideal Candidate Quvia is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager to join our team in Florida. Our ideal candidate is someone with between 5-10 years experience, who has coached and mentored direct reports, within a SaaS business or in Public Accounting. Key Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and oversee all general ledger activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, accruals, and prepaid expenses
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition for subscription-based contracts
Oversee accounting for the UK subsidiary, including statutory reporting, local compliance, and coordination with external UK accountants
Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules
Support the preparation of financial statements and assist with audit and tax compliance
Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies and procedures
Assist with optimization of accounting systems and automation tools
Mentor and develop junior accounting staff
Requirements
Candidate will ideally be based in South Florida, but we are open to applications from candidates within the state more generally
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a SaaS and technology environment. Public accounting experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience with revenue recognition (ASC 606)
Experience with international accounting or multi-entity consolidations; familiarity with UK accounting/tax compliance is a plus
Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems
Ability to choose and use AI tools to enhance productivity and efficiency of the accounting close process, transaction analysis, and audit preparation
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
Attention to detail with a strong commitment to process improvement and accuracy
