Overview
Position: Tax Manager. Our client, a leading investment management firm, is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its corporate tax function. This role offers the opportunity to work across complex areas of tax accounting and compliance, supporting both corporate and partnership structures. The ideal candidate will be highly technical, detail-oriented, and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation and review of consolidated and stand-alone income tax provisions, including financial statement disclosures and footnotes under ASC 740. Review and post monthly tax journal entries for corporate (1120) and partnership (1065) entities. Oversee quarterly estimated payments and review of extensions for corporate and partnership groups. Prepare detailed schedules and data to provide to external advisors for federal, state, and partnership filings. Review allocation processes related to externally prepared Schedules K-1. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; CPA or EA designation strongly preferred. 7–10 years of tax experience, ideally within a Big Four or similar in-house environment. Strong technical knowledge in corporate, consolidated, and partnership taxation, with experience reviewing Forms 1120, 1120 RIC, 1065, and Schedule K-1s. In-depth understanding of ASC 740 and U.S. tax compliance requirements. Advanced Excel skills; experience with modeling or process automation is a plus. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and solve problems independently. Exceptional attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and documentation. Motivated self-starter with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Interest in expanding knowledge across different areas of taxation and the investment management industry. Compensation & How to Apply
Base pay range: $150,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr. Additional compensation types include an Annual Bonus.
