Fixed Assets Accounting Manager

Fixed Assets Accounting Manager — Hybrid position with in-office requirement of 2 days per week. 110K-120K plus bonus. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fixed Assets Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting and management for a well-known service company in the Carrollton area. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate fixed asset records, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulations, and providing strategic insights on capital investments and depreciation. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of GAAP, and proven experience in asset accounting. This position pays 110K-120K + 10% Bonus and offers unlimited PTO. In addition, this is a Hybrid position and in office ONLY 2 days/week. Responsibilities: Manage the full lifecycle of fixed assets, including acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposals. Ensure accurate and timely recording of fixed asset transactions in compliance with GAAP and company policies. Maintain the fixed asset subledger and reconcile it with the general ledger. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes related to fixed assets, including journal entries, schedules, and reporting. Prepare and analyze fixed asset reports and provide insights to senior management. Monitor and evaluate capital expenditures to ensure proper classification and accounting treatment. Support internal and external audits by providing fixed asset documentation and responding to audit inquiries. Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures related to fixed asset accounting. Train and supervise fixed asset accounting staff, where applicable. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred). 5+ years of experience in fixed asset accounting or general accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and fixed asset accounting principles. Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
