Overview
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accounting Manager for a client in the construction and service industry. This role is responsible for overseeing project-based billing, revenue recognition, G&A accounting, and accurate financial reporting while partnering closely with project managers, the data/ERP team, and leadership to ensure system accuracy and compliance. This position pays 110K-120K+Bonus and offers flexibility. Responsibilities
Oversee project-based billing processes within the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms. Manage revenue recognition, including percentage-of-completion calculations in line with GAAP. Handle G&A accounting activities, including payables, reconciliations, and general ledger entries. Partner with operations and project managers to ensure accurate coding, job costing, and financial tracking. Prepare month-end and year-end journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Provide leadership with reporting and analysis to support decisions related to project profitability and cash flow. Collaborate with the data/ERP team to maintain system integrity, improve workflows, and resolve issues. Support audit preparation and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies. Recommend process improvements to strengthen accounting efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA preferred). At least 4 years of progressive accounting experience, with exposure to project accounting, revenue recognition, and G&A functions. Strong understanding of GAAP and experience with percentage-of-completion accounting. Hands-on use of ERP/accounting systems such as Aspire, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle. Background in construction, manufacturing, or project-based service industries. Compensation and Benefits
