Cost Accountant

Cost Accountant
for our Houston area client. This role offers the opportunity to support plant operations and contribute to the financial success of a dynamic manufacturing environment. The company provides a competitive compensation package, hybrid working schedule and an opportunity to grow within the organization. Primary responsibilities of the Cost Accountant role: Set up, maintain and reconcile product costs, including periodic cost roll-ups Assist in month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries Analyze inventory and purchase price variances (PPV) Prepare actual vs. budget analysis and various financial reports Develop and maintain standard costs in an ERP system Improve processes and controls related to manufacturing costs and inventory valuation Document policies and procedures, including system requirements and internal controls Analyze cost variances and provide operational support Primary qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 2+ years of experience in cost accounting or general accounting with an analytical focus Self-starter with excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments If you are interested in pursuing a new opportunity with our rapidly growing client and have proven success of being hands-on, please apply above or contact
