Position Overview Civicap is growing its investment platform with the addition of a VP-level role focused on real estate acquisition across asset classes and geographies. This individual will play a lead in strategy formation, sourcing, underwriting, and closing on real estate investment. This role will help shape Civicap’s next chapter of growth and is based in Houston. Responsibilities Originate, evaluate, and execute real estate transactions across multiple asset classes and markets Lead acquisition underwriting, due diligence, and financing, with responsibility for investment committee presentations and recommendations Lead seller negotiations and build market relationships Manage and develop junior team members, with an emphasis on continuing Civicap’s culture of low ego and high performance Contribute to shaping Civicap’s investment strategy and research Represent Civicap externally in the investment community Qualifications Minimum of 10 years in real estate private equity or principal investing Demonstrated ability to execute across multiple asset classes Advanced financial modeling and structuring expertise; strong grasp of capital markets and debt/equity partnerships Track record of leading deals independently and working with junior team members Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build something new within an established platform Pragmatic thinker with a high tolerance for uncertainty and an ability to thrive in an unstructured role and environment Well networked, with relationships across brokers, operators, capital partners, and industry stakeholders Low-ego, high performance, and team-oriented Seniority level
