Job Description

The primary responsibilities of a Senior Accountant include, but are not limited to, accounting, reconciliation, and reporting of revenue accounts as well as the monthly close of accounting operations. The Senior Accountant position is eligible for hybrid work with in-office requirement at Syner-G's Framingham, MA office. Job Functions

Lead the accounts payable processes, analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts and ensuring prompt payment of invoices to suppliers, vendors, etc. Review employee credit card and expense report transactions for accuracy and compliance with company policies. Manage the processing and recording of the bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll cycles. Responsible for the preparation and analysis of accrued expenses. Ability to work with other departments to ensure completeness and accuracy. Review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, including cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, etc. Perform month-end close process for accounts payable and accrued expenses. Prepare monthly expense analyses, including updating monthly expense forecasting. Assist with the development and documentation of accounting processes, policies, and controls. Work with external auditors on year-end audit and external tax firm on annual tax return. Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to operationalize and improve systems and processes. Qualifications and Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities required. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting is required. CPA license preferred. 3 plus years of relevant accounting experience, showing progressive advancement. Advanced knowledge of US GAAP. Strong understanding of end-to-end accounting processes, specifically around accounts payable. Proficiency with NetSuite a plus. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong attention to detail and organization skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and problem solve proactively. Ability to work effectively within a team environment; strong collaborator and interpersonal skills. Strong time management skills: ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, to manage multiple tasks concurrently, adapt to changing priorities, and to meet deadlines.
