As the
Plant Controller
for our Eustis Facility, you will be the senior financial leader on-site, overseeing the financial health and operational efficiency of a complex food manufacturing plant. This position works closely with operations and leadership teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, effective cost control, and strategic alignment between financial and operational goals. How will you contribute: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential job functions and duties include, but are not limited to: Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; ensure compliance with US GAAP Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records Complete month-end close within 5 business days Prepare and review monthly financial reports and variances; recommend and execute adjustments Ensure timely recording of intercompany transactions Monitor operational and financial performance; analyze variances and identify improvements Collaborate with operations team for regular financial reviews and ad hoc reporting Partner with department heads to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans Lead efforts around cost analysis, margin analysis, and inventory accounting Provide key financial insights, KPIs, and reporting to support business decisions Drive continuous process improvements to boost efficiency and control costs Align operational practices with financial objectives and strategic goals Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred) 10+ years of financial accounting experience in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and operational metrics Experience implementing tier 1 ERP systems (e.g., Great Plains, Business Central) Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Strong communication and leadership skills; capable of working cross-functionally Experience presenting financial data to senior leaders, boards, or investors Preferred: Food & beverage industry experience, private equity background, M&A exposure May involve exposure to allergens such as Soy, Wheat, Fish, Shellfish, Milk, Egg, Tree Nuts and Sesame.
