Tax Manager/Senior Tax Manager opportunity with a Medium Sized CPA Firm located south of Boston. The role focuses on leading tax department activities, delivering quality tax services to clients, and enabling growth within the firm. Responsibilities

Coordinate the activities of the tax department and render quality tax services to clients. Review and manage staff deliverables including tax returns, extensions, tax planning calculations, and write-up work for all entity types (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Non-Profit, gift, multi-state). Prepare and review complex tax planning projections for individual and corporate clients. Manage and monitor client deliverables and due dates. Review complex U.S. and multi-state income tax returns for business entities (consolidated and non-consolidated C-corporations, S-Corporations, Partnerships, Fiduciary, Non-Profit Organizations). Review complex U.S. and state individual income, gift tax, and estate tax returns. Conduct and review complex tax research and prepare memoranda outlining findings and conclusions. Respond to IRS and state agency audits, inquiries, and tax notices. Handle federal, state and local tax audits. Delegate projects to staff and provide accounting and tax assistance as needed. Communicate directly with existing clients, colleagues, management, and IRS representatives regarding various tax matters. Assist with business development efforts, including meeting with prospective clients, preparing fee quotes and proposals, and evaluating clients’ needs. Lead department in knowledge of software, processes, and workflows. Responsible for employee training for new hires and ongoing evaluation of tax staff. Engage in consulting and special projects as requested by management and clients. Takes direction and reports to senior management of the firm for the tax department. Qualifications

5-15+ years of current tax experience within a public accounting firm with demonstrated supervisory experience. BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university; licensed CPA/EA preferred. Masters degree in taxation preferred. Tax audit experience. Foreign tax experience preferred. Ability to meet challenging client requirements and provide exceptional service. Strong computer skills: proficiency in ProSystem and BNA preferred. Detail oriented with ability to multi-task. Well rounded in dealing with high net worth individuals and business. Salary range: $125-250K+ Bonus Location
