LHH is partnering with a reputable law firm to find an experienced Litigation Secretary to support their civil litigation defense team in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation support, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex case documentation and deadlines.
Position Type : Full-Time, Contract to Hire, Onsite
Responsibilities
Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys in all phases of litigation
Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, motions, and correspondence
Maintain and organize case files, calendars, and deadlines
Coordinate e-filing in both state and federal courts
Schedule meetings, depositions, and court appearances
Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel
Assist with trial preparation including exhibit binders and witness coordination
Qualifications
Minimum of three years’ experience as a litigation secretary in a civil litigation law firm
Proficiency in legal terminology, court procedures, and document formatting
Strong knowledge of California state and federal court e-filing procedures
Excellent typing, proofreading, and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines
