Paralegal (Legal Assistant I) at CAC I International Inc. supports the Department of Justice’s mission. Responsibilities
Compile, prepare, and summarize materials for attorneys in discovery, motions, briefs, and other legal documents. Summarize depositions and transcripts; maintain case files and perform simple legal research. Index, track, and control document discovery; manage exhibits and materials at depositions and trial. Prepare exhibit cross-references; assist attorneys in the courtroom. Review documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines. Compile documents for FOIA, production requests, Congressional inquiries, and related tasks. Qualifications
Required: Paralegal certificate or a four-year college degree. At least one year of litigation paralegal experience or related project experience (including internships) in business, finance, accounting, project/document management, policy, research, government staffing, publishing, or equivalent. Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong knowledge of computer applications (word processing, databases, spreadsheets, imaging, hardware). Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Understanding of how electronically stored information (ESI) operates within an operating system; experience organizing and analyzing digital files and folders. Experience with ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures is a plus. Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure. DOJ MBI eligibility (US Citizenship required). Desired

This position is covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay meets or exceeds the minimum required by the wage determination issued by the Department of Labor and applicable to CAC I’s government contract for the work location. Minimum hourly wage: $25.58. Final compensation depends on location, experience, skills, education, and certifications.
