Senior Accountant Location: Northern Colorado / Local candidates only | Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | Business-casual environment We're seeking a detail-driven, tech-savvy Senior Accountant to join our team and take ownership of critical accounting functions. If you're looking to make an impact, streamline processes, and bring clarity to financial reporting—this role is for you. Key Responsibilities
Own the Month-End Close: Drive an efficient month-end close process, ensuring all deadlines are met with precision. Journal Entries & Adjustments: Prepare and record recurring and ad hoc journal entries in alignment with the monthly close checklist. Chart of Accounts Management: Maintain and update the chart of accounts, ensuring accuracy in structure and integration with financial systems. Accruals & Period-End Accuracy: Monitor accruals to ensure revenue and expenses are recorded in the correct periods. Financial Reporting: Maintain and enhance existing financial reports; design and develop new reports to meet evolving business needs; prepare monthly and quarterly external reporting packages. Cash Flow & Bank Reconciliations: Prepare the statement of cash flows; perform daily cash positioning and reconcile all bank accounts. Fixed Asset Accounting: Manage all aspects using fixed asset software. Account Reconciliations: Prepare and present timely balance sheet reconciliations; develop and improve reconciliation templates for clarity and usability. Automation & Efficiency: Identify and implement automation opportunities for recurring entries and processes. Variance Analysis: Deliver insightful budget-to-actual and month-to-month analyses with commentary for leadership. Stakeholder Support: Provide departmental managers with timely GL detail and budget comparisons during the close cycle. What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred) Minimum 4 years of experience in general accounting, cash management, A/R, and A/P Solid knowledge of US GAAP, accrual-based accounting, audit practices, and fixed asset accounting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access; strong overall tech aptitude Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) Experience with Sage FAS is a plus Why Join Us?
