Position Summary Performs technical statistical analysis of hazard risk historical losses and loss forecasts. Coordinates the compilation of information necessary for the renewal negotiations of the company's hazard risk insurance and captive insurance programs. Supervises the operation of the company's risk management information system in an effective and efficient manner. Provides risk management support to business units as necessary. Essential Responsibilities Performs technical statistical loss analysis, maintains accurate databases of historical losses to measure the frequency and severity of losses and determine the business unit responsible for each loss. Supervises the operation of the company's risk management information system by coordination of access, training, system maintenance and oversight of improvements and processes. Coordinates the compilation of risk exposure information necessary for the renewal negotiations of the company's hazard risk insurance and captive insurance programs. Provides risk management support to business units as necessary by arranging for certificates of insurance and surety bonds, providing details of our risk management programs, participating on various committees to provide risk management perspective. Reviews and analyzes third party vendor/supplier contracts with respect to insurance and indemnification provisions. Analyzes and negotiates losses covered under company insurance contracts and negotiates and prepares third party contracts for approval. Adheres to and assists in monitoring Sarbanes Oxley compliance. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting, business law, or insurance and risk management principles. Minimum of five years experience in a risk management department, insurance broker/agency, insurance company or equivalent experience. CPCU or ARM designation or equivalent knowledge through experience. Claims handling experience. Ability to work extended hours as required. Ability to communicate to all levels of management.
