Carolina PRG is partnering with a leading construction and infrastructure services company to recruit a strategic and dynamic HR Director to support ongoing rapid growth. This key leadership role will oversee all aspects of human resources, driving organizational culture, field and office talent acquisition, employee engagement, and compliance for a fast-growing construction organization. Reporting directly to the executive leadership team, the HR Director will serve as a trusted advisor, championing best practices and aligning HR initiatives with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and systems across corporate and field operations, including multiple construction sites

Evaluate and unify payroll and benefits platforms; lead implementation of a single HRIS system suitable for a distributed workforce

Support onboarding, employee relations, compensation, performance management, and compliance for both field and office employees

Create consistent handbooks, PTO policies, and HR documentation for all levels of the organization

Collaborate with leadership, payroll, and tax teams on projects such as transitioning payroll schedules or implementing workforce management solutions for field staff

Build scalable HR infrastructure to support rapid growth and multi-site construction operations

Lead HR components of strategic initiatives, including workforce planning, labor compliance, safety coordination, and organizational development

Serve as a trusted HR advisor to leadership and provide guidance on all matters related to people strategy and construction workforce management

Work independently while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external partners

Qualifications:

6+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally including experience in construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments

Demonstrated ability to operate independently and drive initiatives in a high-growth, multi-site setting

Strong experience implementing and managing HRIS, payroll, and workforce management systems

Comfort balancing tactical HR operations with strategic planning for field and office employees

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Experience managing HR for multi-site operations strongly preferred

Background in M&A, union/labor relations, or construction workforce management is a plus

Must be based in the Charlotte area and able to commute to the Indian Trail office as needed
