Job OverviewA law firm seeks an entry-level Bankruptcy Attorney in Dallas, TX. This position offers a dynamic environment with access to experienced mentors and a diverse client base. The role is ideal for individuals passionate about bankruptcy law and eager to collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals.DutiesCollaborate with attorneys and support staff on bankruptcy procedures and local filing requirements.Provide loan-level recommendations ensuring compliance with the Federal Bankruptcy Code and local rules.Review bankruptcy filings, including proofs of claim and notices of mortgage payment changes.Draft pleadings, motions, certifications, objections, orders, memoranda, and letters.Attend hearings, settlement conferences, and other legal appearances.Communicate case status and developments to clients via email, telephone, and client systems.Respond promptly to communications from various stakeholders.Escalate matters when necessary.Perform other duties as assigned.RequirementsExcellent oral and written communication skills.Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Ability to manage priorities in a high-volume environment.Effective communication with legal, non-legal, and client stakeholders.Self-starter with initiative.EducationJ.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.CertificationsBar admission in good standing (any state).SkillsExperience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.1+ years’ Experience representing secured creditors/mortgage services preferred.Bankruptcy or Default Mortgage Industry experience preferred.BenefitsMedical insurance plans.Dental and vision insurance.Life and disability insurance.Flexible spending account.Paid time off.Nine paid holidays.Employee referral program.
