Overview

Coming October 2025 (Pending Funding): Paralegal – Victim Services. Washington, DC | Hybrid / On-site. Location: Home Office (Headquarters) - DC - Washington, DC. Employment type: Full Time. Education requirement: Bachelor\'s Degree Required. Salary range: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00. Travel: 10 - 20%. Schedule: Day. Category: Legal Admin. What You’ll Do

Conduct client intakes and organize legal files.

Draft pleadings, subpoenas, affidavits, and discovery documents.

Assist attorneys with hearings, trial prep, and litigation support.

Explain court processes and rights to survivors; accompany them to hearings.

File protective orders, compensation claims, and other critical documents.

Coordinate communication among clients, attorneys, law enforcement, and service providers.

Conduct legal research and maintain accurate, confidential case records.

Participate in outreach and collaborate with community partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate.

Experience supporting attorneys or working in victim services, criminal justice, or social services.

Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to explain legal procedures with sensitivity.

(Preferred) Training in victim advocacy, trauma-informed legal support, or domestic/sexual violence contexts.

(Preferred) Bilingual fluency (Spanish, Arabic, Dari, etc.).
