Senior SAP Warehouse Management (WM) Consultant role at Fortis Hayes. Location: Irving, Texas, USA. On-Site. USA RESIDENTS ONLY - NO VISA SPONSORSHIP. Job Type: Contract - 6 months. Experience Level: Senior. Responsibilities
Solution Design & Configuration: Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP WM solutions to meet complex business requirements for warehouse operations. Process Optimization: Analyze and optimize end-to-end warehouse processes, including Receiving, Inventory Management, Picking, Packing, and Shipping. Integration Management: Configure and maintain the seamless integration between SAP WM and MM modules, as well as with external systems like RF guns and other Distribution Center (DC) automation. Client & Project Leadership: Work directly with clients and business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and demo solutions. Support & Troubleshooting: Provide high-level support for the SAP WM environment, including troubleshooting issues, managing job schedules, monitoring IDOC processing, and maintaining output configurations to ensure strict adherence to SLAs. End-User Collaboration: Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), train end-users, and create detailed documentation to ensure successful adoption of new functionalities. Agile Methodology: Participate actively in an Agile development environment, utilizing tools like Jira to manage backlogs, sprints, and deliverables. Must-Have Qualifications
Experience: 12-15 years of extensive, hands-on experience with SAP Warehouse Management (WM) as a primary skill, with SAP Materials Management (MM) as a strong secondary skill. Integration Expertise: Proven experience in configuring and supporting the integration between SAP MM and WM modules. Must have practical experience with RF device integration and a deep understanding of Distribution Center operations and automation. Process Knowledge: Expert-level process understanding of warehouse operations including Receiving, Putaway, Inventory Management, Picking, and Shipping. Support Experience: A strong background in support projects, with a proven ability to manage client relationships, troubleshoot complex issues, and maintain high service level agreements (SLAs). This includes hands-on experience with job scheduling, output management, and IDOC troubleshooting. Agile & Tools: Experience working in an Agile environment with tools like Jira. Communication: Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to demo functionality, lead UAT sessions, and train users effectively. Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Preferred Skills
Knowledge of DSCSA (Drug Supply Chain Security Act) compliance requirements is a significant plus. Experience with other DC automation technologies beyond RF. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaborate effectively within project teams. What We Offer
