Overview

Eagle County Government is seeking qualified candidates for Appraiser positions. Appraisers appraise all types of real property for tax assessment purposes. They conduct field inspections and contact property owners to collect data, analyze data and perform calculations to determine property value, prepare appraisal reports and defend valuations, and assist the public with inquiries about the appraisal process. Hourly Ranges

Appraiser I: $29.33 – $35.19. Appraiser II: $32.26 – $38.71. Appraiser III: $35.49 – $42.59. Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm Work is primarily done in an office environment. Fieldwork is required but varies based on time of year and workload. Flexible work arrangements allowed after a 6 month probationary period. Applicants are encouraged to apply by Wednesday, September 24th; however, the job will be posted until it is filled. Qualifications (All Levels)

High school diploma or equivalent Valid state driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record Computer proficiency (word processing, appraisal software) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to pay close attention to detail Ability to defend appraisals verbally and in writing Responsibilities
