This Senior Software Engineering role is part of the DAS/FM&C department within the Avionics business unit at Collins Aerospace. We're seeking a driven and talented engineer to join our Software Engineering team, focused on delivering advanced display solutions to a global customer base, primarily within military markets. This is a high-visibility opportunity to shape the architecture of next-generation avionics displays while building a broad professional network across the Avionics organization. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, cross-functional development teams, and program management, giving you exposure to a wide range of engineering challenges and growth opportunities. What You Will Do: Perform as an architect to select and develop the right display solutions for on-going pursuits. This includes developing design approaches for display software solutions. Develop product line roadmaps and influence new technology usage on executing programs. Develop innovative design approaches that meet customer requirements, cost targets, and product line objectives. Requirements, software, and test work, depending on program need. Support teams of software and systems engineers to develop, integrate and release displays software products. Primary displays technical points of contact for our programs. Cost Account Management responsibilities as needed. Willingness to travel (domestic and international

Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience. Experience in a software engineering role. Familiarity with Python scripting.
