Risk Management Lead - US, Illinois - 12-24 Month Contract
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Risk Management Lead to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Illinois, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.
What you'll do:
Develop, maintain, and manage the project risk register in alignment with owner governance requirements. Facilitate regular risk identification and mitigation workshops with engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls teams. Quantify risks through probabilistic analysis (cost and schedule) using industry-standard tools (e.g., @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis). Support the development of contingency and management reserve recommendations. Prepare monthly risk reports, highlighting top risks, trends, and mitigation progress. Collaborate with estimating, scheduling, procurement, and change management to align risk data with cost and schedule forecasts. Ensure lessons learned and risk intelligence are documented and communicated across the program. What you'll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline. Extensive experience in risk management on large CAPEX projects. Background in pharmaceutical, biotech, semiconductor, or industrial manufacturing. Proficiency in Primavera Risk Analysis, @Risk, Monte Carlo simulation tools.
