Case Management Professional Development Educator - RN Pascagoula Hospital | Full-Time | M-F 8:00-14:30, Rotating weekends. Travel to all 3 campuses as needed. Address: 2809 Denny Ave, Pascagoula, Mississippi, 39581, United States Responsibilities

Enhances the performance and professional development of healthcare providers and their continuing competencies in Case Management. Develops and coordinates educational programs and materials specific to Case Management. Facilitates the development of clinical excellence through orientation, training, ongoing staff development, and evaluation of practice for all personnel served. Participates in the development of formal and informal education programs to improve quality standards, outcomes, and staff performance expectations. Serves as a resource and educator on new policies, procedures, equipment, and healthcare information; stays current with practice and care delivery. Adjusts working hours and availability as needed (evenings/nights/weekends) to meet educational needs. Performs duties using the National Association of Case Management Practice Standards and the American Case Management Association Standards of practice and Scope of Services. Disclaimer:

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN or MSN preferred; or Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) or Master of Social Work (LMSW) preferred. License

Currently licensed to practice as a Nurse in the State of Mississippi or licensed to practice Social Work in the State of Mississippi. Certifications

Must complete and maintain BCLS certification. BCLS instructor certification required within six (6) months of hire. Obtain and maintain certification from national organizations specific to case management. Accredited Case Manager (ACM) or Certified Case Manager (CCM) preferred or to be completed within one year of hire. Must have de-escalation training completed by end of position orientation (90 days). Experience

Five (5) years of case management experience appropriate for area of specialty required. Previous teaching experience or evidence of teaching ability preferred. Utilization Review experience preferred. Reports & Supervises

Reports to: Director of Accreditation, Safety, and Education. Supervises: None. Physical & Mental Demands

Physical Demands: Work is moderately active; travel within SRHS service area; occasional lifting/carrying; repetitive motions with keyboard use. Mental Demands: Requires keen mental faculties, strong communication, emotional stability, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; attention to detail and multi-tasking in complex situations; ability to maintain collaborative relationships. Special Demands

Superior customer service skills and professional etiquette; keyboard proficient; familiarity with MS Outlook and Word; ability to use other office technologies. Must demonstrate appropriate clinical judgment across patient populations of all ages. Job requires travel throughout the SRHS service area to provide education at division level on various units and in formal classroom settings; employee provides transportation.
