Director of Facilities Support Pascagoula Hospital | Full-Time | Days | Travel to All Locations Location: 2809 Denny Ave, Pascagoula, Mississippi, 39581, United States Position Overview
The Director of Facilities Support, SRHS plans the overall programs to maintain the buildings, grounds and non-clinical equipment at Singing River Health System facilities. The Director of Facilities Support, SRHS is responsible for maintenance programs and handling special assignments for upgrading existing facilities, and must possess a basic understanding of large building mechanical and electrical systems, engineering principles, blueprint development and interpretation, and construction methods and procedures. He/She must have the ability to communicate with service providers and hospital administrators, and have an above average understanding of the most effective techniques for supervising personnel. He/She will have facilities oversight for Singing River Pascagoula, Ocean Springs, and Gulfport Hospitals as well as all offsite SRHS clinics and business occupancies. Responsibilities
Plan and oversee programs to maintain buildings, grounds and non-clinical equipment across SRHS facilities. Manage maintenance programs and handle assignments for upgrading existing facilities. Understand large building mechanical and electrical systems, engineering principles, blueprint development and interpretation, and construction methods and procedures. Communicate effectively with service providers and hospital administrators; supervise personnel. Provide facilities oversight for Singing River Pascagoula, Ocean Springs, and Gulfport Hospitals and all offsite SRHS clinics and business occupancies. Qualifications
Education : High School diploma or equivalent required. A graduate or Licensed Engineer in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering preferred. Licenses : N/A Certifications : Must have de-escalation training completed by the end of position orientation (90 days); must have appropriate level of de-escalation training. Experience : Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in electrical or mechanical construction or maintenance. Must also possess a minimum of five (5) years of managerial experience in maintenance or a similar vocation. Reports To

All personnel in SRHS Facilities Support Department and Property Management. Physical and Mental Demands
Physical Demands : Work is moderately active; travel to another facility within the SRHS service area; ability to lift/move objects; exposure to environmental factors; repetitive motions with computer usage; close visual acuity. Mental Demands : Strong communication, assessment and decision-making abilities; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; attention to detail and multi-tasking in complex situations; maintain collaborative relationships. Special Demands
Superior customer service skills and professional etiquette. Proficient in computer use and office technology (MS Outlook and Word). Ability to demonstrate appropriate clinical judgment and understand impacts of the physical environment on safe healthcare delivery. Employment details
