San Antonio, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability, giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. You will help deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming environment on site, including routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing excellent customer service. This position may involve patrolling in a vehicle and responding quickly to various situations as needed and requires that you are armed and qualified to drive. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour What You’ll Do
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a retail environment. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to deter issues and maintain a secure presence. Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to deter unauthorized activities and support a secure environment for employees and customers. Assist with emergency response activities as directed by site-specific protocols and Allied Universal management. Document and report incidents, observations, and any unusual activities in accordance with company and site requirements. Collaborate with store management and local law enforcement when necessary to address incidents and/or emergencies. What We’re Looking For
Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age Level III Armed Certification for Texas is required A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements CPR and First Aid certification is preferred Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles Possess a high school diploma or equivalent As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only Why Join Us
