Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of an anesthesiologist, the Nurse Anesthetist (NA) will perform safe anesthesia care, including:
- Pre-operative assessment
- Writing of appropriate pre-op orders as specified by approved standard procedure
- Administration of all types of anesthetic and techniques
- Patient monitoring intra-operatively
- Provision for intra-op course and emergence
- Assistance in post-operative care
Work may be scheduled in 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, totaling 40 hours per week, with on-call shifts. Work will be assigned to various ORs.

Salary range: $109.96 - $145.17/hourly
Job Qualifications
Required:
- Knowledge of current nursing, anesthesia, and critical care techniques as evidenced by:
- Valid California RN and CRNA license
- Graduation from an accredited Master's or DNP program in Nurse Anesthesia
- Current certification/re-certification by the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists
- BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC
Required:
- Ability to perform thorough pre, intra-operative, and post-operative assessments and formulate a safe anesthesia care plan
Required:
- Skill in performing pre-operative assessment, including:
- Identification of pre-existing diseases and their impact on anesthesia care
- Understanding drug interactions and medical indications for surgery delays
- Ability to explain anesthetic techniques, risks, and obtain informed consent
- Proper documentation of anesthesia records
- Skill in airway management and physiological monitoring interpretation
- Ability to insert monitoring lines under medical direction
- Knowledge of pharmacology relevant to anesthesia practice
- Skill in performing MAC, regional, and general anesthesia techniques
- Recognition of safe emergence signs and patient transport to recovery
- Knowledge of current education, research techniques, and professional standards
