Responsibilities
MathWorks Application Engineers function as Technical Liaisons and work directly with our Regional Sales Teams, responsibilities include:
Participating in sales activities as a technical/product expert with MathWorks customers in the Southern Europe Region (DACH)
Partnering with MathWorks Sales, Marketing, and Field support teams; analysing & sharing new opportunities, customer feedback, and market trend data
Understanding customers' requirements and engineering challenges and demonstrating scalable and cost-efficient technical computing solutions
Developing networks with MathWorks Product Development teams, sharing learned experiences, and propose feedback for enhancements or features in MATLAB and Simulink
Attending regional research and industry events and presenting MATLAB & Simulink capabilities and user stories
Qualifications
A bachelor\'s degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master\'s degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.
Additional Qualifications
Fluent English and German (CEFR level C1) are both required
Experience with modern software engineering practices for large-scale technical computing systems including version control, automated testing, and continuous integration
Commercial customer facing, pre-sales, solution/systems engineering experience is key
Willing to travel up to 10% within Switzerland
