College of Technology - Cyber Security Courses. Location: Multiple. Job Code: 1326. There are adjunct openings to teach in the Cybersecurity, Networking, Cloud Security, Integrated Control Systems (ICS) or SCADA, and Digital Forensics in the following formats: Face to Face (on campus) only. Adjunct Instructors are responsible for delivering curriculum, providing instruction, and performing student learning assessment. Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively use instructional and classroom technology to enhance teaching and learning. Adjuncts will provide feedback on designing syllabi, lesson plans, lab activities, writing assignments, exercises, and assessments to meet the established course descriptions as well as program, course, and college learning outcomes and objectives while addressing each student\'s needs as diverse learners. Applicants must be able to demonstrate theoretical and practitioner experience. They should have a strong technical background in one or more of the following fields: Cloud Computing, Windows Server and Networking, Linux/Unix/Red Hat Server and Networking, Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, SCADA and ICS, Penetration testing, and Ethical Hacking. All applicants are required to have a masters degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field. Applicants who possess considerable experience in the field of cybersecurity are strongly encouraged to apply. Preferred qualifications are teaching at the graduate or undergraduate level, a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field with a focus on cybersecurity. For applicants interested in teaching face-to-face, they should be residents of Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, or New Jersey. Online instructors must be based in the United States. Other requirements are: Teach in the classroom (on one of the Delaware campuses). Understand the mission and values of Wilmington University. Submit a Teaching Philosophy. The statement should be no more than 1.5 pages and include the following information: (1) a brief statement explaining how you plan to provide excellence in teaching, relevancy of curriculum, and individual attention to students; (2) answers to questions about teaching beliefs, how to measure effective teaching, how to develop positive relationships with students, and how to create a supportive learning environment; and (3) a summary of your thoughts on education and the role you could play in developing students to be successful in their discipline, career, and life. This statement must be attached via the attachments area of the application with the entry "see attached". If hired, be willing to complete Wilmington University\'s Learning Management System (Canvas) and Hybrid Online Training courses. Possess knowledge of various instructional strategies designed to meet the course objectives and enhance student learning. Be able to develop a personalized course outline designed to follow a generic syllabus provided by the University. Qualified applicants may be asked to present a writing sample. Qualified applicants may be asked to present a 10-minute teaching sample for the Program\'s Director and Chair as part of the interview process. If hired, be able to abide by tight deadlines required of a 7 week Block format curriculum and teach during daytime hours. Complete the application, attach your resume, include a cover letter indicating any other relevant information not included in your application or resume, and a copy of your transcripts for the highest degree earned.
