Overview
This position is located at Mount Sinai South Nassau, One Healthy Way, Oceanside, NY 11572. This is mostly onsite (5 days onsite) with some remote flexibility and on-call duty rotation. The IT Supervisor provides technical support and directs the activities of subordinate professional and vendor support personnel in the delivery of critical telecommunication and related technical services supporting the needs of health care departments. Responsibilities
Organizes, assigns, supervises and reviews the work of subordinate personnel/vendors in the installation, modification and maintenance of telecom systems and associated equipment. Coordinates, in conjunction with other staff, the execution of large projects related to facility moves, technical expansions, etc., including status tracking, issue resolution and escalations. Coordinates with telecom vendors the life cycle of circuits, hardware and related telecom services. Supervises and coordinates personnel activities including, but not limited to, performance appraisals, training, continuing education, disciplinary actions and offering recommendations for salary review. Assists in the development of new methods, procedures and/or processes to increase efficiency and to improve service delivery, production, equipment performance, scheduling and quality control. Establishes and maintains liaison with other IT and external departments to ensure effective coordination of work activities. Fosters an environment of open communication and teamwork in support of goals and objectives. Handles customer service on orders and deployment of wireless devices (Cell phones, tablets and Pagers). Ensures compliance with department and organization policies and procedures. Performs other related duties. Qualifications
Education Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in computer science or equivalent education and experience Experience Requirements:
5 years of IT experience, with a minimum of two years of supervisory experience preferred. Experience with Alcatel PBX, SBCs and Zoom Phone a plus. Computer Skills:
MS Office Suite experience and intermediate proficiency in Excel General Skills and Competencies:

Compensation The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $90,000 - $135,285 Annually. Actual salaries depend on factors such as experience, education, and operational need.
