Role Overview The Licensed Optician upholds our brand values and helps establish LensCrafters as the premier destination for all vision needs. They deliver legendary customer service and craft high-quality eyewear that exceeds expectations.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Welcome customers and set expectations.
Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
Lead in optical expertise and assist with complex product needs.
Take and record measurements accurately; adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail.
Use technology effectively under time pressure; maintain product knowledge.
Explore root causes of issues; be solution-driven and proactive.
Manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Achieve store KPIs and uphold store appearance standards.
Report safety issues; practice safe work habits.
Be resourceful, self-motivated, and committed to continuous learning.
Adhere to company policies on discounts, promotions, and inventory.
Basic Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
State Licensure.
Optical dispensing experience.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Knowledge of current merchandise and fashion trends.
Basic math skills; familiarity with POS systems, tablets, and computers.
Openness to new technology and change.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous customer service and retail experience.
