HOTEL017289 Salary range: $23-28/hour This position is non-exempt and reports to the General Manager. We’re looking for an Engineering Maintenance Technician with a hospitality background who is self-motivated and upholds guest service standards. You will look after the hotel as if it were your home, fix broken items, proactively seek solutions, and create a detailed program to prevent issues. This includes both interior and exterior building maintenance. Locations

Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues. Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, change light bulbs and HVAC filters, and thoroughly clean the repair area. Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items. Inspect tools and equipment; operate and identify all utility shut-offs; maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts as needed. Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved programs and standards. Organize and prioritize daily tasks to maximize efficiency, workflow, and guest satisfaction. Adhere to quality expectations, safety and security policies, and complete required safety training and certifications; store flammable materials properly. During inclement weather, treat outdoor surfaces to ensure guest and staff safety. Read and understand MEPs (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) blueprints; read and interpret simple drawings as needed. Contribute to a clean, well-maintained guest experience and a hospitable environment for guests and colleagues. Program TVs and perform related inventory duties; follow Lockout/Tagout procedures before maintenance work. What We’re Looking For

1+ year preventative maintenance experience preferred; familiarity with industry trends and best practices. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to dig deeper to find solutions. Skills in preventative maintenance, painting, and carpentry. Physical ability to move and lift up to 50 pounds; ability to climb stairs, service ramps, ladders, and perform necessary movements. Clear, professional communication. Basic computer skills, including scheduling and temperature changes for air handling systems. Ability to read and understand MEPs blueprints. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the hotel as if it were your home. Ability to read, understand, and follow safety policies; use proper safety practices in all tasks.
