The Area Operations Manager will provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to District Management and employees to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of propane and associated services. This role supports Superior’s commitment to being the lowest-cost-to-serve provider in the market while maintaining high service levels and cost-effective operations.

What You’ll Do Health, Safety & Environment Partner with the HSE Team to promote and support culture of safety and compliance, fostering continuous improvement toward Zero Harm. Coach management to strengthen safety communication and ensure regulatory adherence for employees, customers, and communities. Delivery & Service Execution Ensure on-time deliveries and route compliance in coordination with Logistics. Align labor capacity with demand. Ensure emergency service requests are addressed promptly and closed out judiciously. Collaborate with logistics, service, and support teams to ensure timely tank installations and tasks are completed timely and in full compliance. Fleet & Infrastructure Minimize costs and downtime by adhering to maintenance programs. Manage field capital and inventory effectively. Financial Performance & Expense Control Oversee Operational business unit financials, controlling expenses like overtime and discretionary spending. Implement initiatives to improve efficiency, such as route optimization and idle time reduction. People & Workforce Management Lead and mentor employees with clear guidance and feedback. Build a talent pipeline, succession plan, and foster employee satisfaction and accountability. Ensure strong communication between frontline workers and leadership. Operational Effectiveness Use KPIs to drive continuous improvement and uphold operational performance. What You’ll Bring: 10 years of operational management experiencepreferred High School Diploma Bachelors Degree preferred Experience in the propane industry is strongly preferred. Relevant experience includes: waste management, pest control, construction, trucking.
