The Equipment Manager oversees all equipment maintenance and repair, manages parts and inventory, and ensures a safe, clean, and organized work environment. This role involves leading, training, coaching, and assisting the Equipment Mechanic in maintaining turf equipment and vehicle fleets, fabricating parts, and managing inventory. The ideal candidate is motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to maintaining championship golf course conditions. Qualifications
Professional communication skills with staff, vendors, and guests. Knowledge of turf equipment, including hydraulics, electrical systems, diagnostics, engines, and welding. Ability to fabricate parts through various methods such as cutting, forging, machining, and welding. Ability to read manuals, understand preventive maintenance, and repair equipment. Proficiency with trade tools and safety guidelines. Basic understanding of golf and turf equipment's impact on course playability. Experience managing a budget. Familiarity with computer software such as MS Office, purchase order systems, and maintenance software. Trade school, certifications, or equivalent experience in mechanical or electrical fields. Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Equipment Mechanic team in maintenance and repair tasks. Maintain and repair all fleet equipment, including parts fabrication. Develop and oversee preventive maintenance schedules. Manage parts inventory and maintain positive relationships with suppliers. Perform fabrication tasks as needed. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Establish and adjust maintenance schedules based on operational needs. Keep detailed records of equipment, repairs, and costs. Maintain a clean and safe shop environment. Conduct daily course equipment checks. Manage the equipment budget, monitor expenses, and implement corrective actions.
