Overview

The hands-on position leads and manages a North America strategic sourcing team of 4+ teammates to implement and execute sourcing strategies for technical spend. The category includes spares, consumables, and services in Diesel Generators, Life-saving equipment, Fire & Safety, Tools and MRO, Electrical Distribution, Elevators, Galley Equipment, Refrigeration and HVAC Systems, etc. The total spend for categories under scope is multi-millions annually and includes both operating expenses and capital expenditures. The role collaborates with cross-functional stakeholder teams across operating companies and uses a 7-step sourcing process to develop strategies that deliver breakthrough change. This position requires deep sourcing expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to influence cross-brand stakeholders in a fast-paced global environment. Job Functions

Strategic Sourcing & Continuous Improvement: Develop and execute both short- and long-term strategic sourcing plans for North American brands and implement actions to achieve results. Leverage North American volume, knowledge, and relationships to improve terms, cost, and supply chain performance. Track, meet, and report on cost innovation targets on a regular basis with various parties. Collaborate with stakeholders on strategic projects to determine business requirements, assess supply markets, develop and align on a sourcing strategy, execute it, and develop a transition and change management plan as needed. Lead Supplier Relationship Program for the strategic supplier base. Hold suppliers accountable to performance, delivery, quality, cost, innovation, and other KPI metrics. Participate in and lead North America brands’ participation in Carnival Corporation's Corporate sourcing initiatives. Lead conversations with senior leaders internally and externally about strategic sourcing opportunities and build collaborative engagement. Drive continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements, promoting best practices, and fostering a culture of operational excellence. Staff Management & Development: Provide formal supervision to individual employees in the technical sourcing team. Recommend staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action, and termination. Prepare and deliver performance appraisals. Mentor and coach team members to develop competencies and continuously improve skill levels. Customer Service: Monitor, track, and report the Strategic Sourcing Team’s performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to client groups and Supply Chain Management; take corrective action as needed to meet customer service targets and deadlines. Network and communicate with shore and ship customer organizations to build effective working relationships. Act as a trusted business partner. Solicit customer feedback for performance improvements and discuss feedback with direct reports. Compliance & Sustainability: Ensure adherence to international maritime regulations and company sourcing and procurement policies. Support sustainability initiatives through responsible sourcing and supplier engagement. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus. Minimum of 7 years of experience in sourcing or procurement, ideally within a technical or engineering-focused environment. Proven track record of successful contract negotiations and supplier management. Experience implementing sustainability initiatives within the supply chain. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Role is critical within the North America strategic sourcing team, managing technical spend across NA brands (operating expenses and capital expenditures) with significant impact on sourcing strategies and operations. Addresses complex sourcing challenges, negotiates with suppliers, manages supplier performance, and ensures timely and cost-effective procurement of technical goods and services; develops and implements strategies to drive breakthrough change with cross-brand stakeholders in a fast-paced global environment. Contributes to the company’s financial performance by optimizing sourcing of technical goods and services and ensuring availability of critical components and services for business operations. Leads with strong leadership, mentoring, and development of a high-performing team; drives cross-functional initiatives, influences stakeholders, and fosters best practices in sourcing and procurement; responsible for managing resources and budgeting related to technical spend categories. Physical Demands

Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Travel

Less than 25% with shipboard travel likely. Work Conditions

Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. This position is classified as in-office. It requires working from a Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from home on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area.
