Kalwun Development Corporation Ltd is an Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander community controlled organisation currently seeking to fill the following vacancy within our Health and Wellbeing Servicesdivision. Kalwun Health and Wellbeing Service delivers a primary health care service to the people of the Gold Coast & surrounding communities. About the Role The Program Manager (Social & Emotional Wellbeing) will be responsible for providing leadership to a team of multi-disciplinary staff delivering culturally appropriate clinic and outreach based rehabilitation and support services in the areas of mental health & substance misuse to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients across the Gold Coast areas. Position Duties Provide advice and input into the development and implementation of evidence-based substance and misuse health services for the Gold Coast region Continue to develop and refine the framework for clinical and cultural supervision of the social health team Facilitate opportunities for access to ongoing professional development and workforce development across the service of care Support the staff to provide a range of social and wellbeing supports to clients Contribute to the effective management and coordination of service delivery model of case management mental health wellbeing, alcohol and other drugs and social needs of clients Effectively manage & supervise the Social Health & Integrated Team Care staff Oversee the programs ensuring clients have access and coordination to comprehensive services Responsible for reporting requirements to PHN & meeting with PHN re: contractual arrangements. Certificate IV or higher in a field related to individual or group work e.g.:social work, community services, youth work, welfare of equivalent knowledge and experience Proven leadership and management skills including program implementation, staff management and quality improvement Demonstrated passion and commitment for working both for, and alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, families and community High level of skill, knowledge and experience in the area of mental health, substance misuse and well-being service development and delivery Broad knowledge of frameworks, systems and models of mental health and well-being support that have a sound basis for application in urban Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities Sound understanding of the underlying determination of health that influence the mental health and well-being of urban Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, families and communities Enthusiasm and ability to work flexibly and to rapidly adapt to changing environments What we offer Kalwun values the contributions of all staff and is committed to providing an inclusive workplace where all staff feel accepted, included and welcomed.
