The Chair reports to the Dean of COM-T and serves as Director of the Steele Children’s Research Center and Physician-in-Chief of the Diamond Children’s Medical Center. The Chair will be a vital member of the COM-T and Banner University Medicine leadership teams, advancing clinical care, research, and education. The goal is to deliver outstanding education and training and integrate pediatric care with academic excellence. The Chair, with the division chiefs, will direct provider assignments and ensure clinical coverage, coordinate with ambulatory clinics, surgical services, and inpatient units. The role includes setting budget priorities, recruitment and outreach decisions, and oversight of the Department’s budgets and annual enterprise budget planning. Outstanding UA benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance; life insurance and disability programs; paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays; tuition reduction for employee and qualified family members; retirement plans; and access to UA recreation and cultural activities. The University of Arizona encourages prospective candidates to learn more about working at the university and relocation services.
