This role offers an opportunity to directly impact associate well being while driving operational excellence. As a WHS Manager, you’ll be the site's safety champion, leading our Global WHS Program implementation. You’ll combine hands-on safety management with strategic thinking to protect our people. Working closely with Operations leadership, you’ll drive safety initiatives that balance safety requirements with operational success, conducting risk assessments, analyzing safety data, and implementing practical solutions that protect associates while supporting productivity. Your ability to build relationships and influence positive change will be essential as you help shape our safety culture. You’ll lead safety compliance efforts, conduct site audits, and analyze incident trends to target improvements. Managing our first aid program and emergency response capabilities, you’ll ensure immediate care is always available. Your analytical skills will transform safety data into actionable insights, while your leadership helps engage associates in our safety mission. Core Responsibilities

Lead the Global WHS Program implementation; combine hands-on safety management with strategic planning. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and analyze safety data to drive practical safety improvements. Lead safety compliance efforts, site audits, and analysis of incident trends to target improvements. Manage first aid and emergency response capabilities to ensure immediate care is available. Engage and influence operations leadership to integrate safety into daily work and culture. Core Impact Areas

– Transform safety culture through leadership and innovative solutions; drive continuous improvement; leverage data analytics to prevent incidents; measure performance against WHS policies and conduct site audits. Strategic Partnership & Influence

– Build partnerships with Operations leadership to integrate safety into the business; use data and risk insights to influence decisions; oversee recordkeeping, workplace organization, and WHS training programs. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience. 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations. 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management, or 2+ years of Amazon Safety (blue badge/FTE) experience. Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS experience with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people. Master’s degree (preferred). Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment. Experience in a fast paced, dynamic organization. Certified Safety Professional. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders. Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies; strong analytical and problem-solving skills. First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (adult) required; if not already certified, must obtain within 3 weeks of start date. Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach. Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts. Work in environments with varying noise levels and variable temperatures. Continuous climb and descent of stairs (site-dependent). Other

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Base pay ranges from $63,100/year to $115,700/year depending on location and experience.
