Emerson Waldorf School

in collaboration with the Faculty and the Administrative team. This includes developing and implementing enrollment strategies, managing the Enrollment Associate, and overseeing admissions processes. They also play a key role in data analysis and fostering a positive student and family experience at Emerson Waldorf School. Emerson Waldorf School is a dual-accredited, well-established school with a rich program. We are located on a 54-acre wooded campus and farm set on the outskirts of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, in the vibrant Research Triangle area. Within this diverse region, our campus is in a small rural and residential area adjacent to the 700-acre Duke Forest nature preserve. Our setting provides a rural atmosphere with the cultural advantages of a city. ENROLLMENT Recruit prospective families • Develop and implement recruitment plans in alignment with the EWS Strategic Plan • Systemic and efficient handling of inquiries • Schedule, organize, and lead regular School Tours • Accommodate families and visitors with private Tours as needed • Organize and coordinate Open House(s) as scheduled with the Faculty Admissions • Screen applicants and follow up on incomplete applications • Work with Student Support on the assessment of new applicants • Schedule interviews, coordinating with families and Faculty, greet families and assist at interviews as needed • Schedule class visit, greet families and students • Collaborate with Faculty and Student Support review of new applicants and hold the admissions decision-making process • Prompt communications regarding updates and final decisions to the appropriate individuals • Ensure timely processing of accepted students into TADS for enrollment Support the onboarding process of newly enrolled families • Working with the Parent-Teacher Collaborative (“PTC”) on back-to-school event coordination and in relation to Class Representatives who can check-in with families • Purchasing and distributing EWS branded merchandise (“swag”) • Create an in-person New Parent Orientation Support student retention and re-enrollment • Check-in with new families • Chair the Rising First Grade (RFG) Bridge Committee meetings to ensure RFG families have a solid understanding of the Grades and the Kindergarten to 1st Grade transition • Chair the Middle School-to-High School Bridge Committee meetings to ensure families have a solid understanding of the High School program and the 8 th Grade to 9 th Grade transition • Work with the Business Director and Director of Administration on the re-enrollment timeline • Work with Faculty to determine matriculation and determine open seats • Annually, perform a review and make updates to the new student Application in FinalSite and Enrollment content in TADS Develop and implement appropriate exit interviews and maintain records for families who choose to withdraw their student(s) from EWS Manage the Parent-Child program • Collaborate with Early Childhood Faculty to promote, manage enrollment, and communicate with families OUTREACH • Visit classes and faculty meetings periodically to keep in touch with Faculty and the curriculum • Read literature on education issues and Waldorf education • Contribute input for the development of the annual marketing budget • Collaborate with the Marketing Director on recruiting materials (flyers, ads, swag, banners, etc.) • Represent EWS to the greater community at outside events and meetings, and recruit and coordinate volunteers for outside events • Establish relationships with area pre-schools and schools without High Schools that are mission-aligned with area Waldorf Schools and Waldorf Charter Schools ANALYSIS & REPORTING • Maintain relevant data analysis on all aspects of enrollment, re-enrollment, and retention, including broader market trends. • Analyze enrollment and admissions data, identify trends, and report qualitative and quantitative data and information to various groups including the Board of Trustee, Administrative Team, and others as needed. • Prepare and submit regular reports for Board of Trustee meetings • Prepare for, present and attend the annual All School (“WEANC”) meeting OTHER • Directs, supervises, and evaluates enrollment staff (Enrollment Associate) • Attend the weekly meetings of Administrative Team, and Enrollment Retention and Marketing (ERM) Committee • Attend other all-school events, such as Autumn Fair • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Administration Qualifications

Core Competencies: • Excellent communication skills: clear, articulate, and professional in verbal and written communication • Ability to work independently: multi-task and coordinate projects, set priorities, meet and track deadlines, and follow up on assignments with minimal direction. • Strong leadership and management skills: ability to lead, motivate, and work collaboratively • Excellent interpersonal skills: friendly, warm, courteous attitude • Demonstrates initiative • Highly detail and results oriented • Data analysis and reporting skills • Strong organizational and project management skills: ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously • Supports and upholds the mission and values of the Emerson Waldorf School • Good time management • Strict adherence to the confidentiality required of the position Education & Experience: • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred • Minimum of 3-5 years related enrollment and/or administrative experience; prior experience in Waldorf School preferred • Familiarity with Waldorf pedagogical principles and demonstrated insight into contemporary parents’ educational choices • Proficient in Google Workspace applications and comfortable working with online systems such as student information systems and producing organized data and reports. Other : • Able to lift up to 25 lbs • Able to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time • Have the mobility required to lead walking tours of the school in various weather conditions • Have visual and hearing capabilities that allow for consistent communication with parents, visitors, faculty/staff in multiple formats (written, verbal, virtual, in-person, etc) • Able to speak English fluently; fluency in a second language (especially Spanish) preferred • Able to work on-site; position is not eligible for remote/hybrid work • Able to work evenings and weekends as needed • Able to successfully pass and maintain all background checks • Salary between $41,000-$55,000 based on experience • 10 days of paid sick/personal leave • 15 days of paid vacation • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans • Tuition Remission • 403(b) Retirement Program • Professional Development Funds • Employee Assistance Program
