in Brooklyn, NY and help children with special needs reach their goals. We specialize in conducting evaluations and providing ongoing services in homes, community, and clinic settings. Achieve Beyond offers ABA, Speech, Occupational, Social Work, and Physical therapy as well as Special Education/SEIT services. We serve children and families in the metro New York area (all 5 boroughs of NYC, Hudson Valley, Long Island and Albany), Virginia/DC area, Maryland, New Jersey, Connecticut and Delaware.
Location and Travel Location: Brooklyn, NY. Cases available throughout Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island boroughs. Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including driving a personal vehicle or using public transportation. The ability to ascend/descend stairs, lift up to 10 pounds, and work on the floor or kneel for extended periods may be required.
Salary and Benefits Starting Rate: Hourly $55.00-$80.00. This range is provided by Achieve Beyond; your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience. Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during the interview process. Available benefits include: medical, dental, vision, and 401k. Flexible work schedule; access to paperless billing and data collection system (training provided); support from clinical supervisors and administrative staff; and financial educational assistance program (when applicable).
Job Responsibilities
Provide ongoing special instruction and/or ABA services to children (ages birth-3) in their most natural environment.
Educate families and caregivers on applicable intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.
Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings.
Follow the therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment and address identified goals while documenting progress.
Prepare progress reports as indicated and maintain confidential records in accordance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations.
Requirements
Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of New York
Passion for working with children and families
1-2 years of experience working with children birth-5 is preferred but not required
Self-motivated, a team player, patient and professional
Fluency in a language other than English is a plus
Physical Requirements
Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases
Driving a personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation
Ability to ascend/descend stairs
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
Ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods
